December 21, 2008 Heavy Metal The Movie
Back in 1981 Heavy Metal Magazine released a animated film based off of short stories from the mag. This movie was crazy for the time, the soundtrack alone is worth watching the movie. I remember sneaking out of bed and watching it on the Z Channel when my parents weren’t looking. The opening scence is pretty bad ass, a flying 60’s corvette mashing. The sequel came out in 2000 and was named what else Heavy Metal 2000. Not everyone knows this well most comic kids know this. Kevin Eastman from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles owns and publishes Heavy Metal Mag. Rumor is David Fincher (Fight Club, Seven) will direct a segement for the new Heavy Metal Movie.
