March 31, 2009 The Future Is Now And No One Cares
Definition - Biometrics is the science and technology of measuring and analyzing biological data. In information technology, biometrics refers to technologies that measure and analyze human body characteristics, such as fingerprints, eye retinas and irises, voice patterns, facial patterns and hand measurements, for authentication purposes.
Once thought of as science fiction is now pretty much common place. I went to Universal Studios last week, to use your pass you have to scan your fingerprint. For verification reasons I understand but do you realize that you are now in the Universal Studios Theme Park data base? Use the lockers to store your backpack and other shit. You have to secure the locker with your finger print, and to open it again you have to scan your digit once again. I’m not all worried about big brother and that, but it’s crazy that the tech has reached the mass.
Japanese cigarette machines can detect age of buyers, it scan the buyers eyes, wrinkles surrounding the eyes, bone structure and saggy ass skin. The rumor I read on the web was that kids were putting magazine ads in front of the scanner and beating the machine. This is just my observation of tech and how it is being more applied to our daily lives.
